Historic day in offing?
Bangladesh will aim to wrap up their first One-Day International series victory over Sri Lanka when they lock horns against the hosts in the final game of the three-match series at the scenic SSC ground.
After succumbing to a 90-run defeat in Dambulla, Sri Lanka played with a fair amount of pluck and bravado in the second game to accrue 311. However, incessant rain played spoilsport and the match was abandoned. Kusal Mendis had anchored the innings with a hundred and the captain Thanarga played the supporting role. Taskin picked up a momentous hat-trick for the tourists.
For the visitors, Tamim Iqbal cracked a well-measured hundred in the first game, with the bowlers sharing the spoils between them to power the side to a memorable victory. Will the fickle Colombo weather hold off for the eagerly-awaited match to take place? Will it turn out to be a red-letter day for Bangladesh? Catch the live action in a few minutes.
